Job summary

Annandale Public Schools is seeking a Substitute Instructional Paraprofessional to reinforce curriculum and supervise students under the direction of the Principal and certified staff. Typical duties include small group instruction, lunch/recess supervision, in-school suspension, playground monitoring, and CARES room supervision; schedule is flexible, with hours roughly 8:00 A.M. - 2:30 P.M.

or 8:30 A.M. - 3:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Under the direction of the Principal and guidance of certified staff, the Instructional Paraprofessional is responsible for reinforcing strategies that support curriculum by performing a variety of duties associated with the supervision of students as they are involved in various school activities.

• Possibility of small group instruction in academic areas.
• Supervision duties include lunchroom, noon recreation/recess, in-school suspension, playground monitoring and CARES room supervision.

Immediate Supervisor: Building Principal

Schedule: Flexible Schedule, work as you are needed and as you are available, M-F, year round.

Typical hours are 8:00 A.M. - 2:30 P.M. or 8:30 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.

• ISD 876 offers a comprehensive benefits package for employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week (130 hours per month average over a 9 month period). This position averages less than 30 hours per week and does not qualify for benefits.
