The Learning Lamp in Northern Cambria, Pennsylvania, is seeking a Substitute Foreign Language Teacher to cover French and Spanish classes at Northern Cambria High School. This part-time position offers a collaborative environment and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement.
• Willingness to pass required clearances and training (background check, TB test, mandated reporter training).
• Ability to quickly establish rapport with students.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with the school's policies and procedures.
• Flexibility to adapt to different teaching assignments.
• Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and stopping for long periods of time.
• Completed background check and clearance.

• Deliver lessons in accordance with the established curriculum.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Foster student engagement and participation in classroom activities.
• Encourage a positive and respectful atmosphere for effective learning.
• Supervise students during class time, transitions, and other school-related activities.
• Communicate effectively with students, school staff, and administrators.
• Provide feedback on the day's activities and report any issues or concerns to the regular teacher or school administration.

• Implement emergency procedures when necessary.
• Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.

What are the duties and responsibilities?

Classroom Management:

• Implement lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the absent teacher.

What are the required qualifications?

• Bachelor's degree is minimum requirement.
• Willingness to go through and pass the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test. This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started.
