Job summary

Andrews Independent School District Food Service Department in Andrews, Texas seeks a Substitute Food Svc Helper to assist in daily food service operations and support the Food Service Manager. The position is on-call and non-benefit, with immediate starting date and a wage of $11 per hour.

Job Title: Substitute Food Svc Helper

Reports to: Food Service Manager

Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt

Primary Purpose:

Under the guidance of the Food Service manager provide duties of a helper during the absence of the regular employee.

Note:Substitute employees are employed on an as-needed, on-call, day-to-day basis and are not guaranteed work on a regular basis. There are no benefits associated with substitute employment.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

A minimum of a HS Diploma or GED certificate

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures

Excellent communication skills

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist in the day-to-day food service operations.
• Ensure adequate supervision to assure health, welfare, and safety of all students.
• Report all student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the appropriate authority immediately or as soon as is reasonably possible.
