Job summary

SEK-CAP, Inc. is seeking a Substitute Family Educator/Recruiter in Girard, KS, to support home-based education and recruit families for Early Head Start and Head Start.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, an agency-provided vehicle, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support wellbeing. Onsite work in Girard with competitive hourly pay and opportunities to advance credentials.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or related field preferred.
• CDA credential or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• Ability to obtain Home Visitation Training within the first year.
• CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly home visits to support parents in developmentally appropriate learning activities.
• Help families set and achieve goals related to self-sufficiency.
• Recruit eligible families for Early Head Start and Head Start programs.
• Complete program applications and verify eligibility documentation.
• Maintain child assessments and family progress records in agency systems.
• Collaborate with community partners to connect families with available resources.
• Plan and facilitate group socializations and parent engagement activities.
