As a Substitute Educator, you will ensure seamless continuity of learning and student care across grades 6–12 by stepping into classroom environments on a short-term or extended basis. You will execute established lesson plans, facilitate small-group and individual learning, and maintain an engaging, supportive environment that aligns with MAI's academic and athletic rigor.
Additionally, this position integrates potential coverage opportunities as a Residential House Parent. In this dual capacity, you may step in to provide supervision, guidance, and a supportive living environment for student-athletes within our residential facilities during evening, weekend, or overnight shifts. Whether in the classroom or the residence hall, you will serve as a reliable, compassionate presence dedicated to the holistic safety, well-being, and personal growth of our students.
As a Substitute Educator with MAI, you will ensure instructional continuity for student-athletes in grades 6–12 by executing lesson plans, facilitating small-group learning, and guiding students through academic coursework and technology tools. In this flexible dual role, you may also step in as a Residential House Parent to oversee dormitory routines, evening study hours, and weekend activities. Whether in the classroom or the residence hall, you will foster a safe, disciplined, and supportive environment dedicated to the academic success, safety, and personal growth of our student-athletes.
You are an adaptable educator, tutor, or youth mentor who thrives in fast-paced middle and high school environments and is eager to support student-athletes in both the classroom and residential dorms. Guided by humility, courage, and sound judgment, you bring a strong sense of ownership to student well-being while actively seeking feedback, embracing collaboration, and committing to continuous personal growth.
