Job summary

Douglas County School District seeks a Substitute Educational Assistant to support teachers and students across classrooms and activities. Qualifications

• First Aid & CPR certification (American Heart Association) required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to assist students individually or in small groups; support teachers in instruction.
• Experience in classroom support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer minor first aid to meet immediate health care needs.
• Assist students individually or in small groups with lesson assignments.
• Assist teachers with classroom tasks to support instruction.
• Maintain instructional materials and/or files for availability and compliance.
• Monitor students in classrooms, playgrounds, field trips, library, lunchroom, bus areas for safety.
• Perform general clerical tasks to assist teachers with instructional materials.
• Report observations and incidents related to students to instructional/administrative staff.
• Mediate student conflicts to ensure a safe learning environment.
