Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Substitute Preschool Instructor to provide classroom instruction and positive interactions with students and colleagues at Copper Mesa Elementary. The role involves implementing the preschool curriculum, supporting SPED objectives, and modeling professional conduct within the school community.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent, First Aid & CPR certification, and a Group Leader qualification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• First Aid & CPR certification preferred.
• Group Leader qualification recognized by DC DHS.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement instruction consistent with preschool curriculum and mandated components.
• Cooperate with the special education team to help special education children meet IEP goals.
• Collaborate with team to develop ILPs for at-risk students.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members.
• Maintain data collection on student progress and confidential reports.
• Participate in ongoing staff development.
• Perform toileting duties and life skills instruction.
• Assist with other related duties as assigned.
