Job summary

Dayton Area School Consortium is seeking a Substitute Educational Aide for the 2026-27 school year. Under general supervision, you will help a student with personal hygiene, mobility, transferring, feeding, and other assistance needs.

You will learn proper methods to assist under the guidance of the classroom teacher or licensed health care professional and encourage the student to reach their highest level of independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid State of Ohio educational aide permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist student with personal hygiene, mobility, transferring, feeding, and other personal assistance needs.
• Learn methods to assist student under supervision of classroom teacher or licensed health care professional.
• Communicate high expectations for student and support their progress.
• Provide supervision and ensure student safety during activities.
