  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

Job Description: Keeps school buildings, rooms, and grounds in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.

  • Sweep, mop, scrub, clean windows, dust, vacuum classrooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, hallways, stairs, office space, and restrooms.
  • Empties trash and garbage containers.
  • Maintains buildings, performs minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and small maintenance activities.
  • Notifies the principal concerning the need for major repairs.
  • Cleans snow and debris from sidewalks and other areas as required.
  • Prepares buildings for meetings and programs.

Minimum Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have current valid Washington State Driver’s License, be trustworthy and safety conscious, and have the ability to work independently with good initiative. Terms of Employment:

Salary: Per PSE – Salary Schedule- Custodian Step 2 (Per CBA)- $20.57

Hours: 8 hours per day
