Job summary

ESC of Eastern Ohio Consortium in Austintown Township, OH, seeks substitutes to cover day and afternoon shifts in the school setting. The position offers a classified substitute rate of $12.00 per hour, effective January 1, 2026, with enrollment in the State Employee Retirement System (SERS).

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and favorable BCII and FBI background checks, plus Rapback enrollment and fraud training with the Ohio Auditor.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience preferred.
• Physically capable of performing all job duties that may include but are not limited to lifting, bending, stooping, stretching, and moving of heavy objects.

• Reports unsafe conditions and/or maintenance problems to the custodian on duty and/or the building administrator.

REQUIREMENTS TO BE ON FILE BEFORE A SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT CAN BEGIN WORK ARE:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current favorable BCII (State) and FBI (Federal) background checks
• Enrolled in Rapback through the Ohio Board of Education and Workforce
• Complete Ohio Auditor of State Fraud Reporting and Training
