Job summary

RSU 57/MSAD 57 SCHOOL DISTRICT in Waterboro, Maine seeks a reliable Sub Custodian to perform cleaning duties across classrooms, hallways, restrooms and common areas, with occasional outdoor maintenance including snow removal.

Reports to the Head Custodian, follows district policies, contributes to a safe and orderly school environment, and supports general maintenance tasks during the full year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Maintain a generally positive attitude.
• Observes all district policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas of the facility, including classrooms, hallways, rest rooms and common areas.
• Vacuums and cleans floors.
• Removes trash.
• Performs general maintenance tasks related to the upkeep and operation of the facility.
• See the general security of the facility during regular shifts.
• Maintains outside areas of the facility, including parking lots and grounds, may perform snow removal.
• May assist with student supervision in some situations.
• During summer months performs total cleaning and general maintenance of the building; may be assigned to crew for general district projects in maintenance or construction.
• Performance of such related duties as may be reasonably assigned from time to time.

Hourly Rate: $19.95$24.27 per hour

JOB GOALS:

Maintain the overall cleanliness of the school or facility, including all cleaning and sanitizing, minor repairs and general maintenance. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.
