Job summary

Lorain City Schools is seeking a Substitute Custodian to perform cleaning and maintenance duties at school facilities. The position offers $18.00 per hour and may lead to full-time Custodian-Class II employment in the future. Workdays are Monday to Friday, with shifts that may include 1st or 2nd shift.

Job Details: Substitute Custodian - Class II (see attached job description for details of the duties).

Workdays/Hours/Shift(s): Monday - Friday; 8 work hours per day; shifts include 1st shift and/or 2nd shift.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with boilers, knowledge of building mechanical systems, and knowledge/experience of skilled trades for maintenance and repairs.

Required Qualifications: Ohio driver's license.

Substitute Rate-of-Pay: $18.00 per hour.

NOTE: The Substitute Custodians may be considered for employment when a full-time Custodian-Class II position opens. The starting rate-of-pay for a full-time Custodian-Class II is $19.18 per hour (with additional allowance for working 2nd-shift) and includes benefits.
