Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must complete Act 24 arrest and conviction report.
• Clearances: PA State Police (Act 34), Federal (Act 114), Child Abuse (Act 151).
• Mandated Reporter Training (Act 126) and Sexual Misconduct disclosure (Act 168).
• TB test/physical; PDE requirements and district forms prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, cafeterias, restrooms, and other areas.
• Observes safety procedures and uses safety equipment.
• Operates and maintains cleaning equipment for building upkeep.
• Arrives on time, completes reports, and notifies head custodian of incidents.
• Maintains confidentiality of pupil records and information.

Responsibilities

• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, libraries, cafeterias, auditoriums, gymnasiums, restrooms, cooridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.


• Observes proper safety procedures and use of safety equipment relative to the performance of the job.


• Able to use and maintain the necessary equipment to provide for the upkeep and care of the building and grounds surrounding the building to which he/she may be assigned.


• Assists in other capacities that the building administrator determines as necessary.


• Arrive on time, remain for the full assignment, complete all required reports and records, and report any accidents or incidents to the head custodian.


• Practice professional ethics in all relationships with pupils, parents, teachers, and other citizens of the community.
