JOB SUMMARY: The Substitute Custodian provides district-wide coverage for custodial shifts on an as-needed basis, including absences due to call-outs, vacations, and special events. This role also supports facility maintenance and improvement projects to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment across all district buildings and grounds.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:

• ?Minimum of one (1) year of custodial or maintenance experience in a public or private setting preferred.
• ?Prior experience in a school system is highly desirable.

KNOWLEDGE:

• ?Familiarity with cleaning materials, methods, tools, and custodial equipment preferred.

EDUCATION:

• ?High School Diploma or equivalent required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• ?Ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds.
• ?Walking, climbing, stooping, reaching , pushing, talking, pulling, crawling, crouching, lifting, (50 lb minimum), handling hearing, grasping standing, kneeling, carrying, seeing , balancing and turning.

Working conditions: Work inside/outside, adequate lighting/ventilation, work with/around others and work alone.
