A local education service district is seeking a Substitute Teacher to support students in learning essential trade skills across various disciplines, including welding and carpentry. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree and the necessary Oregon teaching certification. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students and staff are essential. Daily compensation is $221.02 for a full day of teaching. This role offers the chance to inspire students and contribute to their professional development in a collaborative educational environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Degree and appropriate Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission certification/endorsement(s) are required.
• Prior experience in welding, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and manufacturing in a CTE environment is preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with student, staff and/or parent information.

About Lane ESD’s Hope Factory Program

The factory will produce high-quality, affordable, energy-efficient, and fire-resilient manufactured homes intended to support recovery in Oregon, where home losses due to wildfires. The HOPE Factory will provide a learning space for students to train and the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals to learn valuable technical and professional skills. Students will work alongside craft professionals in a handful of trades, including welding, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and appropriate Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission certification/endorsement(s) are required for the position.
• Prior experience in welding, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and manufacturing in a CTE environment is preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements necessary to carry out the job duties.
• Ability to work harmoniously with others and to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with students, parents and staff.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with student, staff and/or parent information.
• Valid First Aid/CPR Card(s) is preferred.

Salary

• $221.02 full day rate
