Waldorf School of the Peninsula is seeking compassionate, reliable, and collaborative Substitute Coaching Assistants to support our Middle and High School Athletics program. Our ideal substitutes are individuals who appreciate Waldorf education, can provide a warm and nurturing presence, and are comfortable stepping into a variety of learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Substitute in after-school Athletics in High School
• Provide classroom supervision and support as directed by the lead coach
• Maintain a calm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment
• Uphold classroom rhythms, routines, and community agreements
• Support students’ social-emotional well-being throughout the day
• Communicate effectively with faculty, parents and administrative staff
• Ensure student safety and follow all school policies and procedures
• Assist with driving a school van to transport students (Valid driving license required)

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
• Waldorf training preferred, or interest in, or familiarity with Waldorf education
• Strong classroom/student management and communication skills
• Ability to adapt, take initiative, and maintain a steady, grounded presence
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work on short noticeo n-call, as-needed basis
• Must pass a background check and TB assessment

Compensation

The hourly payrate for this position is $23.97 an hour.
