Rio Hondo College’s Child Development Center seeks a Substitute Teacher to support daily classroom activities and instruction on an hourly as-needed basis. Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Child Development Teaching Permit or higher issued by the California Department of Education.
• 1 1/2 years related classroom teaching experience per state requirements.
• Any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and supervise children enrolled at the Center; plan and prepare lessons and activities.
• Direct the work of assigned staff and volunteers in the classroom.
• Maintain classroom records and assist with daily operations and safety.

Education
