Job summary

Hunterdon Central Regional High School is seeking a Substitute Campus Security Officer to help supervise the campus during the school day and protect students and staff. Responsibilities include monitoring entrances, patrolling grounds, buildings, libraries, and athletic facilities to ensure safe operations.

This substitute role is filled on an as-needed basis when school is open. Availability varies, with candidate residing in NJ and eligible for NJ Substitute certification. AA/EOE.

Qualifications

• Prior law enforcement experience preferred (not required)
• Ability to work with students and the community professionally
• Must be eligible to receive NJ Substitute Certificate or hold one

Description

Responsibilities include assistance in providing campus supervision during the school day. Monitor entrances, patrol the grounds, buildings, and other areas and facilities of the school, libraries, athletic fields or other public facilities and installations in order to provide protection from harm to persons gathered therein. This is a substitute assignment that is filled on an as needed basis during days that school is open. Available times and assignments vary.

Requirements

• Prior law enforcement experience and school security experience is preferred.
• Ability to work with students and the community in a professional and consistent manner.
• Candidate must hold a valid New Jersey Substitute Certificate or be eligible to receive one.

Selection Procedure

The successful candidate will need to reside in the State of NJ within 1 year of appointment.
