Ortingschools is seeking a Substitute Bus Driver to ensure safe transit for students. We provide driver’s license training for CDL. Training takes approximately six weeks. During classroom time, trainers receive $16.66 minimum wage.
2025‑26 Substitute Rate: $27.65 (includes driver training up to and as a CDL holder, and route training).
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Have at least five years of experience as a licensed driver of a passenger vehicle.
For on‑call positions, eligibility for benefits is determined by the number of hours worked during the last two school years. Some on‑call positions may not be benefit eligible.
Regular employees who are not in on‑call positions and are anticipated to work 630 hours or more in a year are eligible for the following benefits: medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, long‑term disability, and the employee assistance program.
