POSITION TITLE: Substitute Bus Driver

FLSA: Non-Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Must have a valid Virginia drivers license.
• Must have or be willing to be trained for Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
• Ability to read and communicate in English.
• Ability to follow instructionsand take initiative in performance of assigned tasks.

REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 182 day contract

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Interact with parents, students, faculty, and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Pick up and transport students daily to and from school.
• Perform all tasks in accordance with division guidelines.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Report all needed bus maintenance and repair needs. Maintain clean bus both inside and out.
• Report to work at scheduled time with proper attire and appropriately groomed.
• Adhere to all school division and transportation rulesand regulations.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.
