Job summary

Ft Thomas Unified School District District Wide in Fort Thomas, AZ seeks a substitute bus driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for students. This part-time role requires a CDL with P&S endorsement, CPR certification, and adherence to district safety policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Obeys all traffic laws.
• Observe mandatory safety regulations for school buses.
• Maintain discipline on bus and reinforce safety guidelines.
• Report discipline problems to the proper authority.
• Keep the bus clean and on the assigned schedule.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Discharge students at authorized stops.
• Report all accidents and complete reports as required.
• Fuel assigned vehicle.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma
• Commercial Driver’s License with P&S endorsement
• CPR Certification
• Must pass annual physical, alcohol and drug test and safety training

REPORTS TO:

Transportation Director

JOB GOAL:

To provide safe and efficient transportation so that the students may enjoy the fullest possbile advantage from the district’s curriculum and extracurricular program.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Obeys all traffic laws
• Obseves all mandatory safety regulations for school buses
• Maintains discipline when students are on bus by advising passengers of appropriate behavior and reinforces established guidelines for passenger safety
• Reports discipline problems to the proper authority
• Keeps the bus clean
• Keeps to assigned schedule
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Discharges students only at authorized stops
• Reports all accidents and completes required report
• Prepares other reports as required
• Fuels assigned vehicle

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Ten-month employee. Salary and work year to be established by the Governing Board.
