Job summary

Cascade Christian Schools in Puyallup, WA seeks a Substitute Athletic Bus Driver to support junior high and high school athletic events. Duties include pre/post trip inspections, safe student transport, and incident reporting.

Must meet CDL and DOT requirements, have First Aid/CPR certification, and be at least 21 with a clean driving record. Starting immediately, the role is part-time with flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Washington CDL and certification by the State as an authorized school bus driver or ability to obtain.
• DOT medical certification required.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication skills with students and adults.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Willingness to complete annual training and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Obey all traffic laws and safety regulations for school buses.
• Perform daily pre/post trip inspections and maintain bus cleanliness.
• Complete forms and reports accurately and timely.
• Maintain schedule adherence and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Ensure safe evacuation of students in emergencies.
• Maintain control of student passengers and ensure compliant transport.
• Report student incidents to Athletic Director or designee.
• Transport only authorized students and staff.
• Present a professional image and demeanor.
