Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Possess a valid Washington State School Bus Driver's certificate.
• Possess a valid Washington state driver's license with the appropriate endorsement.
• Meet physical and mental standards to perform duties.
• Possess a current first aid card.
• Minimum of two years driving experience.
• Subject to drug and alcohol screening tests.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus on scheduled routes and trips as required by the district.
• Inspect and clean buses and related equipment as required by policy.
• Maintain student safety and report unsafe acts or conditions.
• Complete forms, records and reports as required by policy.
• Complete required driver training programs.
• Operate in compliance with state laws and district policies.
• Perform basic bus equipment servicing and safety inspections.
• Engage in required non-mechanical servicing tasks as needed.
• Assist other personnel to support work activities.
• Work split shifts and varied hours depending on route.
