Job summary

East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is seeking qualified substitutes to teach Anatomy and Physiology (BIO 201/L and 202/L) on an as-needed basis. You will deliver prepared lesson plans, engage students, and monitor learning progress at EVIT’s Main Campus.

The role requires a Master’s in a related field, teaching experience, and proficiency with Canvas, Google Classroom, and ExamSoft. This is a non-exempt, as-needed position with an hourly wage of $50.00.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Anatomy & Physiology, Human Biology, Nursing, or closely related field.
• A minimum of 18 graduate-level credits in the subject with a grade of C or higher.
• At least one year of collegiate-level teaching experience.
• Experience using Canvas, Google Classroom, and ExamSoft or similar LMS.
• Valid Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by Arizona DPS.
• Immunization against or immunity to measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) if born after 1957.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction and supervision during the temporary absence of a regular teacher.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment while implementing lesson plans.
• Prepare reports and feedback for the regular teacher regarding student participation and performance.
