Job summary

The City of Peoria’s Neighborhood & Human Services Department is seeking energetic, caring individuals to support our AM/PM Program serving elementary students across 21 Peoria Unified School District sites.

This Part-Time Substitute Teacher/Caregiver role offers flexible weekday hours at multiple locations. As a substitute, you’ll supervise and engage children ages 5-14 and lead enriching activities.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid Certificate required.
• Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Ability to maintain a safe, engaging environment for children.
• Interest in flexible, varied shifts at multiple elementary school locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, supportive and engaging environment for children ages 5-14.
• Lead and participate in activities such as arts and crafts, literacy activities, STEAM projects and games.
• Mentor and role model, helping children start and end their school day successfully.
