Job summary

Energy Erectors, Inc. seeks a Substation Wireman to perform maintenance, repairs, modifications, replacements and installation of electrical equipment for substations, in support of utility projects.

The role requires knowledge of substation work to meet utility company standards and can involve field work in a demanding environment. Candidates should have prior substation experience and be willing to work from elevated platforms; OSHA 10 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have previous substation experience.
• OSHA 10 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Have advanced knowledge of the tasks required to perform all phases of substation work in accordance with the power company standards and perform the work as directed by your supervisor.
• The Substation knowledge that is required includes hook up and dress transformers, set poles, equipment, and steel structures, adjust switches, and pull and terminate control cables.
• Responsible for completion of all required paperwork and job logs.
• Able to work with limited or no supervision.
• Troubleshoot power and control circuits.
• Have no issues with heights or working from a boom lift.
• Understand, communicate and train hand signals required for equipment operation.
