Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a Full Service Technician to recondition, reassemble, and test substation transformers. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to work orders.

The position requires reading orders, using lifting equipment, and maintaining organized workspaces in a fast-paced setting. A HS Diploma/GED is preferred, with OSHA10 and transformer experience preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• OSHA10 certification preferred.
• Mechanical and transformer experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow work order instructions to rebuild transformers to customer specifications.
• Gather parts and tools needed for the work order and verify they are in good working condition.
• Recondition and reassembly of substation transformers, including cleaning, inspecting components, replacing gaskets, changing oil, and basic repairs.
• Perform quality checks and basic testing on units before shipment.
• Use shop equipment and tools safely; return equipment to proper location after use.
• Operate overhead crane and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
