Job summary

TRC is seeking a skilled and motivated Technician to support our Transmission and Distribution substation operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring system reliability, safety, and compliance with operational standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Electrical Technology or Associate of Electrical Technology is required.
• Experience with substation testing, relays, and control schemes is expected.
• Knowledge of 3‑phase power systems and protection schemes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing and routine maintenance of substation relaying and control systems.
• Calibrate protective relays and apply relay settings per standards.
• Program Load Tap Changing and voltage regulator controllers.
• Troubleshoot and repair substation relays and control devices.
• Plan and execute testing activities while maintaining service continuity.
• Maintain documentation of testing procedures and configurations.
