Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies in Columbus, OH is seeking a Substation Technician to perform installation, repair, and modification of electrical equipment and substation systems, while meeting safety and quality standards.

Under the Substation Foreman, you will install transformer banks, bus structures, switchgear, and related components, operate heavy equipment, and uphold Forbes’ safety and conduct policies; OSHA 10/30 certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of substation or heavy electrical experience.
• Experience using hand tools, small power tools, shop machines, and heavy equipment.
• OSHA 10 and/or 30 certification.

Responsibilities

• Install transformer banks, bus structures, switchgear, lines, and grounds.
• Operate man baskets, skid steers, backhoes, and other industry equipment.
• Work around energized high-voltage systems with care and compliance.
• Follow Forbes’ Code of Conduct and safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
