Job summary

Energy Erectors, Inc. (EEI - A MasTec Company) seeks a Substation Technician to provide engineering for substation facilities up to 500 kV. The role covers new substations, switchyards, and upgrades for DER, BESS, solar, and wind projects.

Responsibilities include equipment specs, procurement support, layout, and field installation for high-voltage systems. Must meet physical requirements and have a DOL Journeyman certificate; OSHA training is required.

Qualifications

• Must have OSHA 10 and/or 30.
• Ability to carry and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must possess a Department of Labor (DOL) Journeyman completion certificate.

Responsibilities

• Work safely on construction and substation tasks.
• Read system maps and understand distribution layouts.
• Assist with installing transformers, bus structures, switchgear, and related equipment.
• Operate forklifts and maintain certification.
• Perform site preparation and equipment maintenance.
