Job summary

Energy Erectors, Inc. (EEI - a MasTec Company) seeks a Substation Technician to support design and engineering for substations up to 500 kV. Responsibilities include equipment procurement support, layout, and integration of switchyards with DER connections.

You will work in a field environment, handling transformers, bus structures, switchgear, and related substation tasks while adhering to safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must possess OSHA 10/30 certification.
• Requires valid State Class C driver's license.
• Ability to carry and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Willingness to operate construction equipment and hand tools.
• Physically demanding field environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering tasks for substation facilities up to 500 kV.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of substation equipment.
• Read system maps to understand distribution layouts and load areas.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in substation work.
• Work around energized high voltage systems with safety in mind.
