Job summary

Energy Erectors, Inc. is seeking a Substation Technician to provide engineering for substation facilities up to 500 kV. Projects include interconnection of BESS, renewables, DER, and upgrades to existing facilities.

Responsibilities cover design, procurement support, and layout of major equipment for high voltage switch yards and substation facilities. The role requires dealing with heavy field work, operating construction equipment, and maintaining safety standards in a field environment.

Qualifications

• Must have OSHA 10 and/or 30.
• Must possess a valid State Class C driver’s license.
• Ability to carry and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to learn how to operate construction equipment and use hand tools.
• Physically demanding work environment.
• Must possess a DOL Journeyman completion certificate.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while assisting in new/existing construction and related tasks.
• Read/system maps to understand electric distribution layouts and substation capacities.
• Assist with installing transformers, bus structures, switchgear, lines, and grounding systems.
• Operate forklifts and maintain forklift certification.
• Work around energized high voltage systems with care and skill.
• Maintain tools in good working order and comply with code of conduct.
