Job summary

Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. (Elliot) seeks a Substation Technician to assist in the installation, construction, maintenance and repair of Transmission and Distribution Substations from Cloverdale, Virginia, with opportunities across Virginia, North Carolina and West Virginia.

This role requires travel, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to pass background and drug screenings. You will grow through hands-on work and contribute to reliable power delivery in multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and medical card recommended (required within 6 months).
• 1 year of experience required; 1–2 years recommended.
• Own your own hand tools.
• Intermediate understanding of electrical substations.
• Willing to travel.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, construction, maintenance and repair of transmission and distribution substations.
• Position is based in Cloverdale, VA with work across VA, NC and WV.
• Collaborate with team to support projects safely and efficiently.

Job Description

As a Substation Technician you will be assisting in the installation, construction, maintenance, and repair of Transmission and Distribution Substations. This position is managed out of Cloverdale, VA with work in multiple locations and opportunities throughout Virginia, North Carolina and West Virginia.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL license and medical card recommended (required within 6mos)

• 1-2 years of experience recommended
