Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a seasoned startup manager to lead on-site startup activities, manage budgets, and coordinate commissioning across teams. You will drive safety, schedule adherence, and client communications in a hands-on construction environment.

The role emphasizes end-to-end startup planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement to deliver successful project turnover and operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years startup experience with at least one prior startup manager assignment.
• Candidate must pass pre-employment onboarding including background checks and drug screen as required by law.
• Engineering background preferred with a focus on construction or startup operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee startup activities from turnover to client startup and operations.
• Lead startup staff priorities and schedules, and manage budgets and man-hours.
• Develop startup procedures, coordinate with client, and ensure safe, compliant operations.
• supervise commissioning engineers and startup personnel to meet project milestones.
