Job summary

OGE Energy Corp. is hiring Relay Technician Apprentices and Journeymen to install, test, and maintain relay and control equipment across transmission, generation, and distribution facilities.

You will coordinate with other departments to complete projects and provide relay expertise to external customers. The program includes on-the-job training, classroom instruction, and progression from apprentice to journey level based on performance and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in electrical/electronics technology or applied science.
• Completion of Vo-Tech with electrical theory and math; or industrial electrical/electronics background.
• DOT medical card within 90 days (apprentice) / DOT card required (journey).

Responsibilities

• Install, test, maintain, and troubleshoot relays and control equipment in substations.
• Perform switching for tests and maintenance and emergency repair.
• Train and mentor junior technicians and ensure safe work practices.
