Ameren Illinois is seeking a technician to install, commission, test and maintain protective relays and related high-voltage equipment. The role includes working with SCADA RTUs and performing high voltage switching to support essential electric and gas utility operations.
Applicants should have an Associates Degree in Electrical or Electronics Technology, a valid driver's license, and be prepared for overtime and emergency callouts. Experience in a utility or high voltage setting is preferred.

Install, commission, test and maintain the following equipment: Electro-mechanical and microprocessor based protective and control relays. Internal circuitry on high voltage transformers and circuit breakers. SCADA (supervisory and telemetry) RTUs. Perform high voltage switching and other duties that support primary duties.
Associates Degree in Electrical or Electronics Technology (Unofficial Transcript required to consider application) Valid driver's license. Availability for overtime and emergency callouts. High level of computer literacy. Knowledge of data communication protocols (e.g. Modbus, DNP 3) a plus. Prior experience in electric and gas utility or high voltage industrial environment. Must be willing to meet the 25 mile domicile requirement.
This position is covered by the IBEW Local 702 (CIPS).
Hourly Pay: Grade Step BD 057 Step 1 of 1 (Top Step) - 58.43 USD Position is eligible for annual incentive payments based on company performance and subject to sole management discretion.
