Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking an Electrical/Electronics Technician to install, commission, test and maintain relays, transformers, circuit breakers, and SCADA RTUs. The role supports high voltage switching and related duties in central and southern Illinois.

Applicants should have an Associate’s in Electrical/Electronics Tech, a valid driver’s license, and be available for overtime or emergency callouts. The job is covered by IBEW Local 702 (CIPS) and pays hourly. Benefits and incentives are noted.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Electrical or Electronics Technology required.
• High level of computer literacy required.
• Knowledge of data communication protocols (e.g. Modbus, DNP3) is a plus.
• Availability for overtime and emergency callouts.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test and maintain electro-mechanical and microprocessor based protective and control relays.
• Work with internal circuitry on high voltage transformers and circuit breakers.
• Operate SCADA RTUs and perform high voltage switching to support primary duties.
• Must be willing to meet the 25 mile domicile requirement.
