Ampirical is seeking a Substation Protection and Control Designer I, II, or III for our Duluth, GA office. You will develop protection and control design packages, schematics, wiring diagrams, and related electrical documentation, applying AC/DC design knowledge at increasing levels of complexity.

You will participate in site visits, collaborate with engineers and clients, and leverage AutoCAD tools to deliver accurate design deliverables while adhering to client standards and QA processes.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related technical field (non-ABET).
• 0+ years of professional experience required.
• 2+ years of progressive experience in protection and control design or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive experience for Designer III; seniorization depends on level.

Responsabilidades

• Create and interpret protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and cable lists.
• Apply knowledge of AC/DC circuit design and analysis to protection tasks.
• Develop electrical design documentation using AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Perform electrical load calculations appropriate to project scope and level.
• Interpret project scopes and translate into design deliverables.
• Support projects from equipment and panel replacements to greenfield builds.
• Review vendor drawings and equipment information; apply client standards.
