Job summary

Intelligence and National Security Alliance seeks a Project Manager I to oversee Substation Optimization projects across the Carolinas. You will manage utility capital projects from planning to closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives are met.

You will lead cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, project controls, and supply chain, develop procurement strategies, monitor progress, and report on performance.

Qualifications

• Utility industry experience required.
• Experience supporting electric distribution, transmission, or substation projects preferred.
• Previous project management, project engineering, construction management, or project coordination experience.
• Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Maximo is preferred.
• EPC project experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned utility capital projects from planning through execution and closeout.
• Coordinate and provide leadership to cross-functional project teams, including engineering, construction, project controls, supply chain, environmental, quality, safety, and other stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, procurement strategies, and resource plans.
• Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks, issues, and changes.
• Facilitate project meetings and maintain clear communication with project teams, leadership, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Prepare project status reports and provide regular updates on schedule, cost, and project performance.
• Ensure projects are executed in accordance with established project management processes and standards.
• Oversee contractor performance and support commissioning and project closeout activities.
• Promote a strong safety culture while ensuring quality and environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
