Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Engineering Manager for Substation 1 in a hybrid environment. You will lead a senior team across engineering, procurement and construction, ensuring design quality, budget adherence and schedule milestones while interfacing with clients and pursuing growth opportunities.

Ideal candidates bring a PE license, 5+ years in substation EPC or design service projects, and strong leadership in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional registration/licensure preferred; active pursuit acceptable.
• Experience leading EPC/design-substation projects for utilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead large multi-discipline teams to meet project deliverables.
• Oversee design quality, budgets, and schedules across disciplines.
• Interface with clients; support proposals and business development.
• Manage project changes and coordinate with the client under PM supervision.
