Job summary

Booth and Associates seeks an entry‑level Project Engineer I to support electrical project tasks under supervision. You will assist in plans, specifications, and reports while developing familiarity with substation design and engineering processes.

Earned degree in electrical engineering and some experience with CAD/drafting are desired. This position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and interaction with clients and vendors on project tasks.

Qualifications

  • Assist in development of plans, specifications and inspection reports.
  • Assist in preparation of material lists and labor contracts.
  • Assist with preparation of substation designs and construction drawings.
  • Basic administration of material purchases and construction contracts.
  • Support safety standards, policies, and best practices to maintain a safe environment.
  • Provide direction to designers and CAD operators on assigned team.
  • Some interaction with customers and vendors.
  • Familiarity with substation engineering areas such as layout, protection, relays, field support, commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to planning and documentation for electrical projects.
  • Coordinate with engineering staff to support design and drafting tasks.
  • Assist with procurement and contract administration activities.
  • Support safety initiatives and compliance during project execution.
