Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Substation Project Manager to lead multi‑discipline engineering projects across the United States. You will manage concepts through construction support, coordinate with engineering teams and clients, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree, 10 years' experience, and PMP/ CCM/ DBIA credentials or the ability to obtain them within 12 months. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire or promotion.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage substation engineering projects from concept to design and construction support.
• Lead proposal development: define scope, schedule, staffing and cost for compliant submissions.
• Direct multi‑discipline substation teams (physical, P&C, civil/structural) to meet quality, schedule and budget.
• Manage quality, risk, schedule and change management.
• Serve as main client contact to deliver a legendary client experience.
