Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. in Lewis Center, OH seeks a Designer in Engineering Services to develop detailed substation designs, prepare CAD drawings, and support project estimates under a technical lead.

You will work across multiple locations including Lewis Center, OH, King of Prussia, PA, Hanover, MD, Wesley Chapel, FL, focusing on HV design, protective relay applications, and CAD skills with AutoCAD/Civil 3D/MicroStation. SEL offers ESOP and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of HV electrical design experience
• Experience in substation design or protective relay controls
• Knowledge of protective relay applications and automation
• CAD drafting proficiency (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation)

Responsibilities

• Create detailed substation physical and electrical designs under a technical lead
• Prepare CAD drawings and project documentation
• Develop and maintain knowledge of SEL equipment and industry design practices
• Mentor junior designers/drafters as needed
