Job summary

SLS Consultants LLC is seeking an Associate Project Manager—Substations & Power Infrastructure in Tulsa, OK to lead electrical infrastructure for hyperscale data center campuses. You will oversee field execution, coordinate with utilities, and manage projects from construction through energization.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with high-voltage substations, relay protection schemes, switchgear, transformers, and PMS, and can read electrical drawings and construction documents.

Qualifications

• Experience constructing, commissioning, or managing high-voltage substations.
• Strong understanding of relay protection systems and control schemes.
• Knowledge of switchgear, transformers, and Power Management Systems (PMS).
• Experience supporting utility, transmission, distribution, or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read electrical one-lines, protection drawings, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of utility and campus substations serving hyperscale data center developments.
• Oversee field execution, contractor performance, and project progress through energization.
• Coordinate installation and commissioning of transformers, switchgear, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Monitor relay protection, controls, and protection scheme implementation.
• Support commissioning activities for systems up to 345kV and medium-voltage distribution networks.
• Coordinate with utilities, contractors, engineers, and client stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate schedule, quality, and construction risks.
• Ensure compliance with project safety and quality standards.
