Job summary

Jacobs in Houston seeks a Substation Physical/P&C Engineer to support T&D projects across North America. You will translate client standards into substation designs, develop protection and control deliverables, and collaborate with regional and global delivery teams to meet schedule and budget.

You’ll mentor peers, engage with utility and developer clients, and apply knowledge of relaying schemes, grounding, CADD, and SCADA design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) within United States.
• Minimum 8 years of Substation Physical/Protection & Control design experience.

Responsibilities

• Interface with utility/developer clients and delivery teams.
• Develop substation protection, control, and physical design deliverables.
• Lead QA/QC of design calculations, drawings, and specs.
• Mentor team members across North America and globally.
