Kimley-Horn's Midtown Atlanta office is seeking a Substation Physical Design Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the Power Delivery team. This on-site role emphasizes detailed HV/MV substation layouts, drawings, and client interaction.

The ideal candidate will perform studies, lead technical tasks, and mentor junior engineers, with a PE license or the goal to obtain one within 12 months. AutoCAD and CDEGS experience are valued assets.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant engineering experience in Substation Physical Design.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with HV/MV substation design and modern design software.

Responsibilities

• Perform conceptual and detailed HV and MV Substation Physical/Electrical design for utilities/substations.
• Perform engineering studies and calculations.
• Provide technical leadership on projects with limited guidance.
• Create and review bill of materials for substation projects.
• Plan and lead client meetings relating to physical design.
