Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking a CAD design professional to support substation protection and control design for utility projects in the Fort Mill area. The role involves drafting P&C drawings, reading design packages, and coordinating with multiple disciplines to ensure quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have 2–4 years in CAD design, proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation, and the ability to work independently or within a team, with strong communication and a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2-4 Year(s) experience in CAD Design
• Proven AutoCAD and/or MicroStation skills
• Experience in the utility industry (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Understand protection and control designs for substation and transmission equipment.
• Read and interpret P&C design packages (one- and three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, panel drawings, wiring diagrams).
• Create substation P&C design drawings from client standards and industry best practices.
• Interpret written specifications and implement them in engineering drawings.
• Collaborate and liaise with other design disciplines.
• Visit sites and advise on P&C design issues.
