Job summary

PG&E is seeking a Supervisor of Owners Engineering in the Bay Area with responsibility for oversight of contracted engineering and design for electric substations. The role collaborates with Project Management to ensure balanced plans, schedules and costs, while driving safety and quality metrics and contractor relationships.

The position is hybrid, with two in-office days per week, and offers a pathway to lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and assistants across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or equivalent.
• 1 year of engineering, electrical or substations experience.
• 5 years of engineering-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assigns projects to balance requirements with resources and tracks schedule/cost.
• Leads a design team affecting transmission/substation projects across the service territory.
• Coordinates with Project Management to meet scope, schedule and cost.
• Develops and communicates metrics on safety, design quality and project performance.
• Supports process improvements and adoption of new technologies.
