Job summary

Eversource, based in the Greater Boston Area, seeks a Substation Supervisor to lead crews in the construction and maintenance of T&D substations. You will coordinate staffing, materials, and equipment, ensuring asset reliability and data accuracy in maintenance records.

The role emphasizes safety, customer-focused problem solving, and collaboration across departments. On-call duties and weekend shifts are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of safe construction, operation, and maintenance of electric T&D facilities at primary and secondary voltages.
• Detailed knowledge of power system maintenance and operation.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn information technologies; proficient with PC tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crews in construction and maintenance for T&D substations.
• Coordinate staffing, materials and equipment with various sections and contractors.
• Ensure reliability and condition of substation assets.
• Analyze maintenance data and input into company database accurately.
• Set expectations and conduct performance reviews; address issues.
• Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance; promote best practices.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer issues; on-call duties rotation.
• Work shifts including weekends; some off-hours on-call required.
