Job summary

OPPD in Omaha, Nebraska seeks a Substation Modification & Compliance Engineer II to perform independent engineering analysis and contribute to maintenance coordination, documentation, and compliance.

You will update maintenance records, refine substation asset data, and help develop test documentation for breakers, transformers, and oil system compliance while collaborating with field crews and internal partners to ensure reliable substations and adherence to NERC/SIP requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Valid driver's license to operate company vehicle(s).

Responsibilities

• Review breaker, transformer, and oil test results and identify root-cause issues.
• Maintain and update the Protection System Maintenance Program policy.
• Update substation asset data to improve maintenance planning accuracy.
• Assist Field Supervisors with sequencing and scheduling work orders.
• Prepare engineering documentation: reports, calculations, and drawings.
• Collect and analyze maintenance performance data for program metrics.
• Support compliance documentation and audits for NERC/SIP.
